1. Scope
1.1 This Standard describes testing procedures and states the performance requirements for incandescent reflector lamps designed for general lighting use.
1.2 This Standard includes performance requirements for (a) wattage; (b) lamp efficacy; and (c) centre-beam intensity.
1.3 This Standard applies to incandescent reflector lamps having (a) a rated wattage from 40 W up to and including 205 W; (b) a nominal voltage of, or a voltage range that lies at least partially between, 100 V and 150 V ; (c) an E26, or E26 skirted, medium screwbase; and (d) a bulb diameter greater than 70 mm.
1.4 This Standard does not apply to lamps marked or marketed as (a) coloured lamps; (b) heat lamps; (c) lamps used in mines, or in airfield, aircraft, automotive, or marine applications; (d) lamps with an ER or BR bulb shape; (e) bowl-mirror lamps (silverbowl); (f) impact-resistant lamps; (g) plant growth lamps; (h) lamps for heat-sensitive application (cool beam); (i) rough- or vibration-service types; (j) lamps for aquarium, terrarium, or vivarium use; or (k) lamps of the neodymium oxide type.
